Ik gebruikte een raspberry pi als controller voor het thuisnetwerkje. Dat werkte heel goed maar een nerd als ik wil natuurlijk meer. De dream machine pro maakt de raspberry volledig overbodig en zorgt ook nog eens voor de VPN (die ook op die raspberry draaide).
De dhcp van de ISP-router is nu uitgeschakeld. De DHCP-server op de UDM-Pro doet zijn werk heel goed, met toch wel wat extra mogelijkheden.
In combinatie met enkele unifi-AP's, werkt het geheel zonder enig probleem.
De UDM-PRO zorgt ervoor dat heel het netwerk geoptimaliseerd is met hoge performantie en perfecte stabiliteit!
De firewall-mogelijkheden zijn wat beperkt maar uiteindelijk doet ie precies waarvoor hij dient!
